Bahçeşehir University (BAU) offers specific PhD programs consist of a course-work part, a research part, and a research project on a pinned-down topic.
How to Apply 📃
The first step is to create an application through the application portal. After you have completed all the required information that we need, your application will be evaluated and an online interview will be arranged with the program coordinator. Required Documents ✔
- Passport
- Bachelor’s degree diploma & transcript
- Master’s degree diploma & transcript
- Letter of Intent
- a GRE (min. 151) or a GMAT (min. 465) score
- TOEFL IBT score (Home Edition is not accepted) and TÖMER proficiency certificate (only for programs offered in Turkish language)
Language Proficiency 🔊

Visa and Residence Permit 📝
After receiving your Official Acceptance Letter following the deposit payment, you can apply for an education visa at the nearest embassy to be present in Istanbul during the registration period mentioned in your letter. BAU will assist you with your residence permit right after your enrollment is completed. Please visit the visa and residence permit page to view Türkiye’s visa policy and detailed information that you must know before your arrival.
Registration Period and Documents 📄
Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will be expected to finalize your registration process by submitting your original documents and their translations if needed. Please pay attention to the registration timeline stated on your Official Acceptance Letter and carefully review the enrollment guide sent with it.
