International Day 2025 at BAU: A Celebration of Cultures

At Bahçeşehir University, International Day isn’t just an event; it’s a vibrant expression of who we are. With students from 127 countries, BAU becomes a world stage each spring, filled with colors, sounds, flavors, and traditions from every corner of the globe. It is a day dedicated to international students.

The 16th International Day on 11^th May 2025 was the biggest one yet, not just at BAU, but in all of Istanbul. The entire campus turned into a global village. You could dance to Latin rhythms, enjoy West African cuisine, sip authentic Arabian coffee, taste Lebanese dishes, have your name written in Japanese calligraphy, or get a traditional henna design. For the first time, we welcomed booths from countries like the Philippines, bringing new energy and unique cultural flair. It was a day of connection and celebration, where sharing a dish or learning a dance meant discovering someone’s world.

What makes BAU International Day special is not just the variety; it’s the spirit! It’s about students proudly sharing their identities, and others embracing them with curiosity and respect. This is what Bahcesehir University stands for: global minds, open hearts, and a campus where every culture has a voice.
