The mission of BAU TÜRKMER is: to teach Turkish as a foreign or second language to our students at (our) campuses (both) in Turkey and abroad, to our project partners and to anyone who wishes to learn Turkish; to promote and disseminate Turkey and the Turkish culture; to develop and implement courses for teaching academic and business Turkish, as well as, general Turkish; to offer Turkish courses to international students studying at BAU or visiting Turkey, and to all students studying at universities and campuses within the BAU Global Network and who wish to acquire the language; to train teachers to teach Turkish as a foreign/second language; to deliver the course and its contents to participants through distant-learning technologies; and to do academic studies in the field of Turkish language teaching.
