Bahçeşehir University’s Public Relations Department aims to educate communication professionals who specialize in all fields of public relations, which is one of the basic functions of modern management, in a variety of areas which include corporate communication and reputation management. Our students specialize in various implementations of public relations writing, qualitative and quantitative research techniques, digital communication design, client management and many other topics, in addition to their basic courses. Workshops and project studies improve our students’ practical skills. Due to our connections with many corporations and foundations, our students are able to meet, discuss, and network with important and renowned people in their fields.
Internship programs, which our department emphasizes, have been established with domestic and foreign companies. Our department analyzes the industry’s needs and educates students to fulfill them by providing internships and career opportunities to our students through its partnerships and connections. Also our students are presented with opportunities to meet successful owners of public relations agencies face-to-face and to learn from them. To support our connections with non-governmental organizations, agencies, and businesses within the industry, our fourth-year students make presentations to these companies by preparing projects and demonstrating their uses and values. These projects often win awards at many competitions, including TUHID and the AYDIN DOĞAN Young Communication Professionals Competition after receiving evaluation from experts in their own fields.
Our graduates can work as brand managers and public relations experts in advertising agencies, public relations companies, media planning and buying companies, political parties, non-governmental organizations, in-house agencies, and in many other enterprises. Our graduates can also find career/job opportunities in national and international corporations as public relations or strategic communications specialists.
