This program aims:
- To enable students to grasp multidimensional social processes,
- To ensure that students are equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge to develop the ability to find answers to social problems,
- To teach students the research methods and techniques required in social sciences for solving social problems, by updating them with new developments,
- To encourage studies in different areas of sociology in line with these goals,
- To provide a foundation in historical sociology to understand current processes and to comprehend social changes from a historical perspective,
- To include both theoretical and empirical studies by referring to examples from different parts of Turkey and the world.
